ABOUT CLIENT:

A mellow young man that is quiet and shy until there is a mic in his hand. Born in Sacramento, California in the month of May, 1987. The third child of Jacqueline and Harry Brown Sr. HB grew up in the church. Constantly around loud, old school, gospel music, he quickly developed a great love and ear for music at a very young age.

As a child HB constantly heard the word of God, which caused a great faith to grow. At the age of seven years old, Jacqueline (his mother) bought him a small toy piano keyboard for Christmas, which he played until the keys fell off (literally). He moved to Stockton, CA in 1998, and started to play background keyboard in the church band at Harvest Church Ministries.

HB started to take rap seriously in 2004, his junior year in high school. He was inspired by neo-soul, east coast, and mid-west style music. Producing came natural to him after learning the basic fundamentals of recording programs. He wrote his first real song in 2005, “Life Goes On,” with the help of his oldest brother Steven. His music style is influenced by Common, Black Thought, The Roots, Kanye West, Talib Kweli, Lupe Fiasco, The Neptunes & Pharrell, but the content of his lyrics is influenced by the Bible and God Himself.

More than anything HB believes in the love of God and is willing to do whatever it takes to please the Lord. He considers himself prevailed, having enough sense to understand that God is the reason he lives. His soul promise is to never use his God given gifts for anything else but the pleasure and glory of God.
